Wu Tang (minus Raekwon & Ghostface) @ State Theater 12/20/2011 This week we knew we wanted to talk about the holidays but we didn’t have a specific guest. After sending out invitations to multiple local emcees we ended up having a great turnout. With Portland still buzzing from the Wu Tang show the night before the energy was still high and discussions about the show ended up leading to a another Appleton cypher to remember. MC 22, Pennsivv, OD & Guop, Ill By Instinct, & JaeJack from http://jaejackblowductions.com/ all showed up ready to let us know what’s going on with them and to listen to the latest Maine Hip Hop. As always you can stream or download the podcast at the bottom of this article. After the show, at Rap Night, RZA and some of the Wu Tang affiliates showed up at the Big Easy to check out local 207 flavor. It’s pretty evident Wu Tang had a great time while visiting Portland, here is what RZA himself said on Facebook and Twitter: “Portland Maine was off the chain. 1000′s of people came out to see the mighty WuTang. From 18 to 36 the ages ranged multi creed and color all under one roof together; which proves it, better hip hop is Alive WU is 4 ever.” “every state has its own state of mind, but sometimes we find which resonates with all. WuTang seems to be such. Tues night was Fri in Maine.”
