Listen to the music, voices, interviews, live cyphers, and history of rap from Maine—preserved by Appleton Radio and built by the artists of the 207.

A MAINE RAP RADIO ARCHIVE—BUILT FROM THE SCENE.
Appleton Radio began in 2004 as an independent, round-the-clock internet station with one purpose: give Maine hip hop artists exposure beyond the state. The weekly Appleton Radio Show later turned that mission into a live record of the scene—music, conversations, premieres, jokes, arguments, performances, and cyphers preserved as they happened.
This is not a generic playlist assembled after the fact. It is a playable primary-source archive created inside Maine hip hop: 130 restored shows spanning 2010 through 2015, backed by a music Vault collected over nearly twenty-five years.

THE RECEIPTS ARE HERE TOO.
The Portland Phoenix documented Appleton Radio in January 2005. WCSH’s 207 visited that April. GO Magazine’s December 2012 feature placed the show inside a wider map of independent American hip hop, and the Portland Press Herald later described the energy and reach of Maine’s scene. Appleton Radio’s photographs, broadcasts, flyers, press, studio walls, and music collection preserve that history together.
