Juba ZakiThis week we were excited to bring yet another new act to the Appleton Radio “airwaves” in the form of Juba Zaki. Juba is originally from Brooklyn and although he’s been living and travelling in Europe for over 3 years Juba is no stranger to the Portland hip hop and slam poetry scenes. It’s great to have him back in town and his musical diversity made for a great addition to our podcast series. From live instrumentation track raps, to banging hip hop tracks, to acapella poetry we were able to paint a pretty good picture this week of what Juba is all about. We were also joined by A-Frame & MC 22 in the studio this week to help keep things moving and fill us in on Rap Night. Also during the first hour we make a call to Brzowski who is on the road and we speak for a few minutes about his tour. Brzowski will be live on the show next week along with DJ Halo helping us keep things spooky for Halloween so make sure to tune in! See you then!
